Johannesburg - Pharmaceutical group Cipla Medpro South Africa [JSE:CMP) said on Friday it had received notification from the Takeover Regulation Panel (TRP) that it intended to conduct an investigation into the affairs of the company relating to a potential affected transaction.

The complaint was lodged on behalf of certain shareholders‚ among whom includes the company’s suspended CEO.

The details of the other shareholders have not yet been disclosed to the TRP.

“The company has confirmed to the TRP that it will cooperate in any way possible to ensure this matter is resolved as quickly as possible.
