Stellenbosch - Sasfin [JSE:SFN], the JSE-listed banking and financial services group, launched its new international and domestic treasury office in Stellenbosch on Thursday.
“As our national client base grows, it is a natural progression for us to move closer to our clients.” said Manus Geyer, Sasfin's head of treasury.
In addition to its new Stellenbosch branch, Sasfin has offices in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Plettenberg Bay, Bloemfontein, Pretoria and Hong Kong.
Geyer pointed out that currency volatility is internationally regarded as one of the top five business risks.
“It is becoming imperative for businesses with international exposures to actively and dynamically hedge currency exposures," he said.
“Sasfin Bank is in the process of further expanding its sales and dealing teams nationally."
The new Stellenbosch office will play a key role in the expansion plans for the Western Cape.
