Cape Town - As part of the increasingly competitive wealth management space, seven of Nedbank Private Wealth’s portfolio and wealth managers have migrated to Sanlam Private Wealth’s expanding Johannesburg operation.
The new appointees include a CA, three CFAs and three CFPs, and will be based at Sanlam’s new Alice Lane, Sandton office.
“Attracting a team of this calibre from one of our competitors is a significant milestone, as the new appointments are a perfect match for Sanlam Private Wealth’s entrepreneurial culture," said Daniël Kriel, CEO of Sanlam Private Wealth.
"Furthermore, the expansion is in line with our long-term strategic vision of strengthening our regional presence in Gauteng, and reaching out to a new-generation high net worth market.”
He said the move follows a similar strategy Sanlam put in place a few years ago when it attracted a team from Nedbank Private Wealth’s Cape Town office, which successfully enabled it to expand into the Southern Suburbs.
Sanlam Private Wealth’s new portfolio managers in Johannesburg are: Altaf Rooknoodeen, Guy Allan, Andrew Bryson and Neo Kgantsi.
The new wealth managers are Lesley-Ann Homan, Stuart Milroy and Marisol Campos.
