Cape Town - Old Mutual [JSE:OML] is rebranding its Skandia label in the UK as part of an overhaul of its merged asset management businesses.

Investment Week reported that the company would reveal its new name, Old Mutual Global Investors, as well as give details of a restructuring of its wealth management arm this week.

Old Mutual bought Skandia in a £3.6bn deal six years ago.

Earlier this year the company announced it would merge its two UK asset management businesses, Skandia Investment Group and Old Mutual Asset Managers UK, into a single unit.
