Johannesburg - The Financial Services Board (FSB) warns the public to refrain from conducting any financial services business or investing funds with Robert Joseph Gourrege, as his Fais licence has been withdrawn.
The withdrawal of his licence on February 25 2014 means that he is prohibited from rendering financial services in terms of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act.
In particular, he is not authorised to sell any financial product to the public or to receive or hold investment funds from the public.
In addition, Gourrege’s has been debarred for a period of five years from rendering financial services.
The withdrawal of authorisation follows an investigation into the affairs of Gourrege by the Registrar of Financial Services Providers.
The FSB reminds consumers who wish to conduct financial services with an institution or person to check beforehand with the FSB on either the toll free number (0800 110 443) or on the website www.fsb.co.za as to whether such institution or person is authorised to render financial services.
