FNB also said that it will refund clients for any banking fees that occurred as a result of the incident.
Some customers were charged twice for the same transaction, while others had the same amount credited to their accounts twice.
The bank suspended “some online functionality” on Saturday after a flood of complaints from clients over duplicate transactions.
It advised customers to use ATM’s and the point of sale for urgent banking needs, while technical staff were working to resolve the matter.
On Sunday morning Celliers said that everything was looking good.

FNB executive responsible for transactional banking Raj Makanjee confirmed in a statement on Sunday that is was business as usual.
"We once again apologise for the inconvenience caused to affected customers," he said, adding that the matter had been resolved but did not point out to what the exact cause of the glitch was.
"FNB can confirm that all online systems are working normally and advises that all duplicate transactions have been reversed to affected customers," Makanjee said.
Frustrated FNB customers who were unhappy when they found out about the problem on Saturday took to Twitter to vent.
