Johannesburg - Maria Ramos, Absa Group [JSE:ASA] chief executive, on Friday announced changes to the composition of the executive committee (exco) of the financial services group.
Alfie Naidoo, the group's chief operating officer, will be leaving to pursue personal interests outside the group; Happy Ntshingila, the chief marketing and communication officer, will be leaving the group's employ at the end of February 2012 to pursue a new and exciting position outside banking; and Daphne Motsepe, chief executive: unsecured lending, will be retiring at the end of April 2012.
Motsepe's portfolio was incorporated into retail and business bank (RBB) when Ramos announced the appointment of Bobby Malabie as the chief executive of Absa RBB last October, a move designed to better serve customers.
Naidoo and Ntshingila's portfolios will be incorporated into those of other exco members.
