It added that the group, with an outstanding portfolio of travel interests including the Thompsons Tours and Travel group, Pentravel and Hylton Ross, will benefit from Viljoen's extensive knowledge of the African tourism industry.
"Andre will take up his role from mid-January 2007. Anton Thompson, the current chief Executive Officer of the company, will retain his title and become deputy chairman while handing over the day-to-day management of the company to Andre," it said.
