Johannesburg - Opencast coal mining contractor and a supplier of construction materials Buildmax [JSE:BDM] advised on Thursday that Terry Bantock, previously appointed as executive chairman, has been appointed as group CEO with immediate effect.
Colin Wood, who has served as an independent non-executive director on the board since March 2008, has been appointed as non-executive chairman.
"The changes to the board responsibilities detailed in this announcement strengthen Buildmax's corporate governance and completely separate the roles of chairman and chief executive officer going forward," the group said.
