Johannesburg - The Competition Tribunal late on Tuesday
said it has dismissed brewery giant South African Breweries' (SAB) application to
have Competition Commission's complaint referral dismissed.
SAB filed for the Competition Commission's complaint referral concerning its anti-
competitive behaviour to be dismissed or struck off the roll because of a lack of
evidence.
The basis for the application is that it has been more than five years and the
commission has not obtained any evidence to form the basis of its complaints.
The dismissal application was filed less than two months before the hearings are
scheduled to begin.
