ArcelorMittal SA [JSE:ACL] said on Friday that Kobus Verster will resign as chief financial officer with effect from August 23.
Verster will move to construction group
Aveng [JSE:AEG] where he has been appointed an executive director from September 1 and will also asume the role of financial director from September 27.
Rudolph Torlage, currently the general manager of controlling at ArcerlorMittal SA, has been appointed as the interim acting chief financial officer of the group. He will continue in this position until the board names a new chief financial officer.
Verster has been associated with companies within the ArcelorMittal Group for the past 20 years and served on the board as chief financial officer for the past four and a half years.
