SA's maize stocks fall

Johannesburg - South African maize stocks fell to 6.642 million tonnes at the end of August compared with a revised 7.249 million tonnes at the end of July, data showed on Monday.

The stocks included 3.491 million tonnes of white maize and 3.151 million tonnes of yellow, the South African Grain Information Service (SAGIS) said in its monthly bulletin.

It said total exports reached 1.285 million tonnes at the end of August.
