Cape Town - Tru-Cape Fruit Marketing, the largest marketer of South African apples and pears, announced that as of January 2014 Roelf Pienaar (38) will take up the position of managing director.
Charles J. Hughes, Tru-Cape’s managing director since inception in 2001, retires in December this year at the age of 60.
Pienaar not only holds an MBA and is a Charted Accountant, but has also worked in the industry in supply chain management for supermarkets here and abroad.
“Roelf is highly qualified with excellent business experience. I know he will take Tru-Cape forward in a positive manner based on sound business principles,” said Hughes.
