Johannesburg - KFC SA on Friday said it had become aware of a falsified promotional pamphlet lobbying for potential new franchisees on its behalf.

"This advert is part of a criminal effort to defraud South Africans and is no way produced, sanctioned or distributed with the consent or knowledge of KFC SA.

"KFC would like to alert the public that this advert is intentionally deceptive and that customers should be aware in their dealings," the company said.

KFC SA has been in contact with the South African Police Service and banking authorities, and has alerted all media houses in regard to this fake promotion.
