Johannesburg - ABI, the soft drinks division of South African Breweries (SAB), has dismissed with contempt the suggestion by the Food and Allied Workers' Union (Fawu)that the quality of Coca-Cola products manufactured since the strike began cannot be guaranteed.
ABI MD John Ustas said: "We have full confidence in the products that are produced and we have stringent quality control measures in place.
"The majority of ABI's workforce are continuing to work as usual and so experienced and qualified staff are overseeing the manufacturing process.
"Employees that are working on the lines are trained up to international Coca-Cola standards."
