Zurich - Swiss-based engineering company ABB on Tuesday said it had received an order worth US$32m to build a power
transmission system in Mozambique.
Under the contract signed with Mozambique's state-owned power
company, Electricidade de Mozambique, ABB will design, manufacture and install a 110-kilovolt power transmission link and two new transformer substations.
The 343km line will link the Niassa province to the country's central electricity grid.
The project will start in September and is scheduled for
completion in January 2005. -Sapa-AP
