Zurich - Swiss engineering group ABB said on Thursday it has won a $62m order from South African utility Eskom to strengthen a cross-border power transmission system.
ABB said it would refurbish a converter station near Johannesburg.
The refurbishment, due for completion in May 2008, will improve the reliability of the converter station receiving electricity from Mozambique, it said.
Earlier this month, ABB won a $30m contract from Eskom for equipment.
