Cape Town - Very few human resources departments consider themselves excellent at measuring, driving and improving the engagement and retention of top-performing team members, a recent survey showed.
Only 7% of respondents to Deloitte’s Global Human Capital Trends 2015 survey indicated that they excelled at engaging and retaining their top talent.
Managing director of Sage South Africa Anton van Heerden said the retention of employees has emerged as a key business challenge in the market where many important commercial, technical and management skills were in such short supply.
