Johannesburg -
Members of transport workers' union Satawu employed at the Road
Accident Fund will go on strike from Monday.
RAF offices in Johannesburg and Menlyn, Pretoria would be
affected, the SA Transport and Allied Workers' Union said in a
statement on Sunday.
Satawu members working for the RAF in East London, Cape Town and
Durban would however not strike yet due to "logistical challenges".
The strike was expected to start with a march to the transport
department in Pretoria on Monday.
The Bloemfontein Labour Court ruled the strike legal and
protected last Tuesday.
Satawu members were unhappy with the RAF's new operating model,
which they feared could lead to job losses and changes in working
conditions.
