Britain fell deeper into recession than initially thought in the first quarter of 2012, upping chances that the central bank could inject more stimulus into the economy.

A Deloitte survey shows that in June revenue per available room (revpar) rose an annualised 5.8%.
But, according to Moray Wilson of Deloitte's division for tourism, hospitality and recreation, the global financial crisis caused a 7.2% decline in the year to June.
Cities hosting the Confederations Cup and British and Irish Lions tournaments, however, benefited.
Cape Town's revpar rose by an annualised 14.2%, although the city hosted only two rugby tournaments. Johannesburg's revpar was 9.9% up
