Moral hazard, financial weapons of mass destruction, a huge mess - these were the words used by a founder member to sum up the collapse of the Pinnacle Point Group.
Johannesburg - SA's new government formed after the April 22 general elections, will have no room to manoeuvre when it comes to the economy, SA Reserve Bank governor Tito Mboweni said on Tuesday.
"Whatever party wins the election we will have to confront the reality that there will be no room for manoeuvre," Mboweni said at a breakfast briefing in Johannesburg.
"And this will be to the new government's credit . We can't move away from the G20 . We can't move away from the other 19 countries of the G20.
"The people in the other 19 countries are no fools. We'd be better advised to move along with the G20 whoever is in government in SA," Mboweni said.
He was not optimistic that the global economic crisis would be over soon.
"We're in this for another four to five years at least, he said.
