Johannesburg - Electronics company LG on Monday warned the public to ignore an SMS claiming that they have won a substantial cash prize which they can claim by supplying personal details.
"The communication appears to be official but it is, in reality, a scam," a statement read.
Marketing director Michelle Potgieter said the SMS was not generated by LG and was intended to get confidential information from recipients.
