Johannesburg - Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan will meet chief executives and chairmen of banks on Monday, the National Treasury said on Friday.
It said the minister made this commitment during his budget speech in Parliament earlier this year.
Issues to be discussed include recommendations of the Banking Enquiry Panel of the Competition Commission; international developments on financial regulatory reform; remuneration practices and incentive structures in banks; credit extension trends; and
financial access and transformation.
A statement will be issued on Tuesday, the Treasury said.
