Ashton takes over leadership from

The magazine, which is undergoing a redesign and restructuring, is "well respected by professional and retail investors both in South Africa and abroad and it is a privilege to be able to take it forward", Ashton said.
"Finweek has produced the goods for the past 18 months, making a clean sweep of all the major financial media awards in 2011," he said.
Ashton has been named the Telkom Classic Financial Journalist of the Year as well as the Small Business Journalist of the Year for 2011.
This followed the Sanlam Best Newcomer to Financial Journalism and the Telkom Classic Small Business Journalist of the Year awards in 2009 and 2010 respectively.
