Fast-track your career into the media by applying for a Finmedia24 scholarship, sponsored by Media24, to study for the Post-graduate Diploma (PGDip) in Journalism and Media Studies at the Rhodes School of Journalism and Media Studies.
The PGDip is aimed at students who have done a non-journalism degree and are looking for a postgraduate route into journalism. It prepares graduates for careers as thoughtful and skilled journalists.
If you are under the age of 25, have a degree in commerce or economics, or if you will be completing it by the end of the year, you are encouraged to apply for the scholarship.
You will be required to do a specialisation in business journalism during the course. The successful candidate will complete an internship with Fin24.com and Finweek upon graduation. Applicants should be black South Africans with a strong interest in combining a love for print and digital financial journalism.
The application form can be accessed online at www.ru.ac.za.
Applications close on 30 September 2010.
