Johannesburg - Engen's 135 000 barrels per day crude oil refinery in South Africa will return to full production by the end of next week after repairs following a fire in November, the company said on Friday.

Spokesperson Herb Payne said the company would also shut down its base oil plant for maintenance in October.

"It (Engen refinery) should return to full production by the end of next week... we've had the fire, then we had a catalyst problem and then we had a mini shutdown, and now we are ramping up to full production," he told Reuters.
