Wind speeds during the recent storm in the Western Cape clocked more than 135km/h.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) said the highest wind speed was recorded at Cape Point on Sunday, measuring 135.72km/h.
SAWS senior forecaster Lauren Smith added that 116.64km/h was recorded in Slangkop and Kommetjie, while 115.2km/h was recorded at the Molteno Reservoir in Cape Town.
