Clicks, SA's biggest pharmacist by store numbers, said on Thursday the resolution of the restructure of its private-label medicine business with the Department of Health is imminent. This could open the way for the issuance of outstanding pharmacy licences and provide a shot in the arm for an already growing group, says one analyst.
Last year in March, News24 reported how Clicks could be forced to sell its subsidiary Unicorn following a Constitutional Court judgment that effectively forbade it from owning pharmacies and producing its own medicines.
